Maundy Thursday, also known as Holy Thursday, commemorates the Last Supper, where Jesus instituted the Eucharist (communion) and washed his disciples’ feet, demonstrating humility and service, as described in the Gospels, particularly in John 13-17, which covers the Last Supper, Jesus’s teachings and prayers for his disciples. The liturgy ends with the Stripping of the Altar, pointing toward Jesus’ arrest, trial and execution.
This service will be in person in the Church and live-streamed here.
